For Infants

Baptisms are celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month throughout the year, except during the season of Lent. Baptisms can be celebrated during one of the weekend Masses or at 12:45 pm on Sunday afternoon, after the 11:30 am Mass. Parents who are seeking to have their child baptized are asked to be registered and active members of the parish. Please call the parish office in order to schedule both a date for the baptism and attendance at a baptismal preparation class.

For Children

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults also includes rites for those children who are older than infants and have not yet been baptized. It is also for any child baptized in another faith, who is older than 7 years, and whose parents are interested in raising this child in the Catholic Faith. For Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults includes those who are not Catholic and are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. It is also for any adult who has not been baptized or has never received any formal religious instruction. Those involved in this journey in faith are assured up-to-date instruction, support and a caring community to pray for and work with them. Contact the parish office at 636-391-1307.

Confirmation

Children are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation through religious education in either Christ Prince of Peace Elementary School or in the Parish School of Religion classes. Adults involved in The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) will prepare for and receive this Sacrament concurrently when Baptized (see above). For youth, this is a 2-year preparation program. Normally it takes place in the spring of 8th grade and preparation begins in 7th grade.
