RCIA/RCIC
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) includes those who are not Catholic and are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. It is also for any adult who has not been baptized or has never received any formal religious instruction. Those involved in this journey in faith are assured up-to-date instruction, support and a caring community to pray for and work with you. Contact the rectory at 636-391-1307.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) includes those who are older than infants and have not yet been baptized, or who are older than Grade 2 and have not received the Eucharist. It is also for any child baptized in another faith, who is older than 7 years, and whose parents are interested in raising this child in the Catholic Faith. Contact Carol Aliperti, Director of Religious Education at 636-391-1560.
Liturgy of the Word for Children
This program is offered every Sunday morning at the 9:00 and 10:30 Masses to grades 1 through 4. Children are dismissed from church after the opening prayer to hear the readings proclaimed in a manner conducive to children's understanding. The Word of God is opened and shared by Ministers of the Word. These Ministers are parents are parishioners who love God, can read the Bible, and make God's Word come alive for the children. There is a training session to give ministers some ideas and resources to work with as they prepare the lessons.
Men's Catechism
An informal men's get-together to read our Catechism and study and discuss tenets of our Faith. Men lead their own discussion on the 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the rectory basement. Just show up, and if you have one, bring a Catechism.
PreSchool of Religion
These are adults and youths from the parish who help with this program which takes place during the 9:00 am Sunday Mass.
Vacation Bible School
This program is for those 3 years old through Grade 6. We meet for one week during the summer from 9:00 am to noon, and use a variety of activities to focus on one Bible story a day. We rotate through B.L.T. (Bible Learning Time), Music, Outside Activities, Snacks, and Arts and Crafts. We invite Grates 7/8 through High School to be assistants and teen helpers, and we look for adults to help organize and work on the various activity committees. It's a great way to spend some time this summer.
Women's Scripture Study
A group of women meet every Wednesday from September through May at 9:30 am in the Meditation Room in church.
